I'm Sam Engel, a lifelong Californian. With nearly a decade of experience in creative and brand project management, I've honed my skills navigating the ever-changing landscapes of two very different hypergrowth startups.

As the 7th employee at Allbirds, I played a pivotal role in shaping how the marketing team operated, mastering the art of optimizing workflows, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving creative output. As the 1007th employee at Rippling, I produced billboard campaigns from Bangalore to San Francisco, doubled our digital advertising team’s output, and operationalized hundreds of SEO blog posts.

During undergrad at UC Berkeley, I co-founded a concert blog and created my own namesake gelato flavor in Italy while taking marketing, psychology, and art history classes. Then I moved across the Bay and embarked on a journey fueled by a passion for logistics. From managing global marketing operations to spearheading process overhauls and onboarding new tools, I've consistently delivered results that help teams exceed their goals.

Now, I lead Extra Snacks Projects, and I'm ready to leverage my wealth of experience and insights to help clients elevate their brands and streamline their operations.

What’s in a name?

It’s both literal and metaphorical. I always bring extra snacks in my bag, wherever I go. I’m prepared for any situation and ready to act upon any emergencies (or emergency cravings). I bring this same approach to my work. I build systems, I prepare, and I equip teams with what they need to work together, grow quickly, and solve problems.
